Description

The Bose Professional ControlSpace CSP-428 is a compact, 1RU fixed-architecture commercial sound processor designed for standalone, small-to-medium-scale audio installations Unlike the open-architecture EX series, the CSP-428 offers a streamlined, “right-sized” I/O profile engineered for swift, quick-turn commercial deployment. The unit utilizes an internal web-server hosting a browser-based configuration utility, allowing system integrators to quickly map routing, set priorities, and calibrate tuning via a simple PC/Mac network connection without the need for complex, heavy software suites.

Features

  • AutoVolume Compensation: When paired with the separate Bose AVM-1 sense microphone, the DSP automatically monitors and adjusts regional sound levels in real time to counteract fluctuating ambient background noise.
  • SmartBass Processing: Enhances the low-end performance and tonal response of connected Bose loudspeakers, preventing low-frequency distortion or thin audio at lower volumes.
  • Opti-Voice Paging & Opti-Source Management: Automatically manages smooth, ducked audio transitions during microphone announcements while maintaining a consistent volume output when switching between different music sources.
  • Bose AmpLink Integration: Built with a specialized RJ-45 digital interface that pushes 8 channels of uncompressed, low-latency audio straight to AmpLink-enabled Bose amplifiers, significantly cutting down on raw physical terminal wiring.
  • Flexible Automation & Control: Features a built-in time scheduler to automate volume changes and source shifts throughout the operating day. It supports ControlCenter digital wall controllers and the mobile ControlSpace Remote app for easy employee operation.

Applications

  • Retail Stores and Boutiques: Handles automated day/night background music profiles and overhead zone paging.
  • Restaurants and Bars: Manages multi-source inputs (TV sound, streaming music, tablets) and counteracts kitchen/crowd sound shifts using AutoVolume algorithms.
  • Corporate Breakrooms & Cafeterias: Integrates localized paging priorities with simple auxiliary source selections.
  • Hospitality and Small Lounges: Distributes premium audio balancing across separate paths, such as lobby background audio versus outdoor patio speakers.
