Description

Description

The Arcam PA240 is a beefy two-channel Class-G power amplifier engineered to provide the correct amount of power when your music demands it. Using Class-A circuitry for low level signals and switching to a higher
voltage rail for peaks, the PA240 supplies clean, distortion-controlled output without crossover artefacts,
offering excellent driver control for improved accuracy and deep, controlled bass.

It is equally at home powering a dedicated stereo system or acting as left/right power amplification for a
surround system. Connectivity is flexible — balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs, passive RCA outputs,
binding-post speaker terminals, RS-232 and Ethernet for automation/control, a 12V trigger in/out and a
USB-A port for firmware updates. The PA240 uses a toroidal power transformer for low noise and high current
delivery and offers switchable gain options to suit your system. Product highlights include 225 Wpc into 8 Ω (two channels driven), 380 Wpc into 4 Ω, switchable gain (25/31 dB).
