The VC-1-SC Up/Down/Cross Scan Converter from Roland provides high picture quality by maintaining the video characteristics of the original signal with rich-blacks and super-whites. The VC-1-SC also features an on-board re-clocker to compensate for attenuation of SDI signals carried over long distances. The Roland VC-1-SH SDI to HDMI Video Converter allows SDI video to be monitored using relatively inexpensive HDMI-equipped displays, and can also serve and an audio embedder and de-embedder. The internal processing has been designed to faithfully preserve the incoming SDI signal and frame rate without introducing interlacing artifacts, signal errors, or reducing the dynamic range of the image. The SDI signal is re-clocked before processing to help ensure best performance.
