Description

The BenQ W5800 is designed for true home cinema enthusiasts who want a large, accurate 4K image up to a 200″ screen. Using a laser light source and BenQ’s CinematicColor tuning, the W5800 delivers 100% DCI-P3 and 100% Rec.709 coverage with factory calibration (Delta E <1 for Rec.709) to reproduce colors as directors intended. Its laser array produces 2,600 ANSI lumens for vivid brightness while HDR-PRO and HDR10+ tone mapping provide improved detail balance in bright and dark scenes.

Installation is flexible thanks to a 1.6x motorized optical zoom and motorized 2D lens shift (±50% vertical, ±21% horizontal), plus a wide throw ratio (1.52–2.45). The W5800 uses a 14-element lens (including aspheric and low dispersion elements) for crisp 4K clarity across the frame. Additional picture tools include Filmmaker Mode (24P support), Local Contrast Enhancer (1,000+ zones) and Dynamic Black for improved contrast. Connectivity includes dual HDMI 2.0b (HDCP 2.2), two USB-A ports, S/PDIF, and eARC for high-fidelity audio pass-through (7.1 / Dolby Atmos capable).

Built for quiet home theaters, the W5800 runs at approximately 27–30 dB and offers long laser life (Normal ~20,000 hrs; ECO ~25,000 hrs). It is ISFccc® certified for professional calibration and offers advanced white balance / color temperature tuning for mid-tone accuracy. Overall, the W5800 balances large-screen brightness, color fidelity and installation flexibility for a premium home cinema experience.

Features

Easy Upgrade to a 200” 4K Home Theater

Experience a 200” screen with laser-sharp clarity. Precision-calibrated for 100% DCI-P3 color coverage and Delta E <1 color accuracy, the W5800 leverages installation features to easily upgrade your entertainment.

Laser Precision, Unmatched Visuals

The W5800 features a groundbreaking laser array light source, presenting a breathtaking 4K image with an impressive brightness of 2,600 lumens for vivid color and clarity.

Colors as Directors Envisioned

Faithfully reproduce images the way the artist intended. BenQ W5800 Home Cinema Projectors with CinematicColor super-wide 100% DCI-P3 and 100% Rec.709 color space delivers precise colors toperfectly preserve what the directors envisioned.

Out-of-Box Color Accuracy

Individual factory calibration reports assure 100% Rec.709 Delta E<1 and the entire grayscale tracking Delta E<2 which optimized DCI-P3 color table for true Hollywood colors.

ISFccc® Certified

Acclaimed ISFccc® calibration customizes image and color performance for any space, along with preset day/night light balance modes.

Exclusive Color Temperature Tuning

BenQ high-end cinema projectors provide advanced color temperature tuning with leading 11 levels of white balance controls between high to low brightness, enabling content fans to adjust to the most accurate colors in mid-tone colors.

Filmmaker Mode

Most movies are shot at 24 frames per second (fps). In order to display movies exactly as the director intended, the W5800 supports 24P playback that accepts high-definition sources at 24 fps without judder in HDR mode to preserve the purity of the original image.

4K Clarity Through Tailor-Made Lens

Utilizing a lens system featuring 14-element including aspheric lens coated with low dispersion materials to improve clarity and uniformity, fully displaying 4K image clarity.

HDR Tone Mapping

BenQ exclusive HDR-PRO technology heightens the 4K HDR viewing experience with two-step enhanced tone mapping, reproducing more balance between details in bright and dark scenes.

Locally Enhanced Shadows and Highlights

Applying the industry-leading Local Contrast Enhancer (LCE) algorithm to divide images into 1,000+ zones, LCE analyzes each segment’s brightness and adjusts gamma independently for greater dark and bright detail definition and enriched image depth.

Comprehensive Image Optimization

BenQ Dynamic Black technology dynamically adjusts the projection light output by detecting imagery, ensuring optimal contrast and life-like images. Laser projectors, equipped with fast dimming, promptly respond to brightness changes, delivering 20% higher contrast than other SSI models.

HDR Video Optimization Frame by Frame

New HDR10+ technology adds dynamic metadata to HDR10 source files, which is used to optimize each frame of the HDR video to enhance details in both bright and dark areas of HDR10+ content.

Superior Acoustic Enjoyment

The W5800 connects you to all kinds of entertainment with universal ports including dual HDMI 2.0b (HDCP 2.2)*, two USB-Type A, SPDIF, and eARC allows 7.1 channel and Dolby Atmos audio pass through, transmitting the original-full resolution audio signal to your sound system via one HDMI cable.

Lossless Images Fit for Any Large Spaces

1.6x Motorized Zoom

The 1.6x optical motorized zoom enables effortless adjustment of the projector’s throw ratio for flexible screen placement. Unlike digital zoom, the optical zoom preserves image quality without pixel decay and latency.

2D Lens Shift

W5800 employs 2D lens shift (±50% vertical and ±21% horizontal) to provide perfectly straight-edged images without loss of resolution, allowing more flexible installation and placement options.

Projection Distance

1.6x zoom maximizes available space with a range of throw distances for big-screen entertainment without the hassle of complicated installation.

Immersive Silence

The W5800 is equipped with a low-noise multi-channel cooling system, that effectively reduces environmental noise to a quiet range of 27dB to 30dB.

Patterned Lens Ring

Elegantly patterned lens ring prevents stray light with rearward tilt to eliminate optical engine light leakage.

Anti-Dust Vertical Louver

Air intake vertical louvers reject dust from cooling system.
